“Love, New York” is a short comedy film starring Sydney Morton as Carmen; a struggling New York Actress who accidentally grabs the wrong cup of coffee on her way to an important audition, leaving her fighting a lot more than just nerves.

Dionna McMillian is an Emmy award winning filmmaker who holds a M.F.A in Film and Electronic Media from American University. She has worked as a director, assistant director and editor on numerous projects. Her experience includes working on feature length independent films, broadcast television, documentaries, and web series.
Dionna loves all genres of filmmaking, but often finds herself drawn to comedy when writing and directing her own work. Her style of directing can be described as punchy and visually colorful. She explores unique staging, dynamic cuts and utilizes the physical space of a location to help sell the jokes and to enhance the story.
